My interest in finance started young. At 11, I was reading the Wall Street Journal, fascinated by how money worked. My grandfather and father bought me a few stocks, and when those small dividend checks arrived in the mail, I was hooked. That curiosity led me to start my career in investments while still in high school, then into mortgage lending where I could combine financial knowledge with helping people achieve one of life’s most important milestones: owning a home.
What I love about this work is making the complex simple. Mortgages and money can feel intimidating, and I specialize in breaking things down so clients feel confident and empowered. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, an investor, buying a vacation home, or exploring retirement options, I want you to understand your choices and feel great about your decisions.
I’ve been fortunate to build Monterey Bay Mortgage since 1999 and expand my licensing to ten states—including Utah, which required 60 hours of coursework before I could even take the exam. Beyond work, I share my Bay Area home with my wife of 25 years, our two daughters (both college volleyball players), two dogs, three cats, and a chicken. I love travel—especially to see wildlife like elephants in their natural habitats—and photography, from my old Yashica film camera days to today’s digital world. You’ll often find me exploring California’s beauty, from Yosemite to the coast.
